The defense didn’t want the State to use “prejudicial terms” during the trial. What were those “prejudicial terms”? “Victim” to describe Sara, “defendant” to describe Michael, “crime scene” to describe the spot where Sara died, “admission” or “confession” to describe what Michael said to law enforcement, “struggle” to describe what happened before she died, “medical examiner” to describe a witness and “homicide” to describe Sara’s death.
