OMG OMG Its Brittany Snow! And New Photos Emerge of Patricia Arquette In Costume As Maggie Murdaugh

Happy Sunday!

Since last week, a TON of Hulu news has been flooding feeds and I AM HERE FOR IT!

Last week, DEUXMOI on instagram published first-look images of Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh and this week The Daily Mail published images of Oscar winner Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh.

Of course I am thrilled to be part of a project who’s cast boasts such talent and star power…. and all those feelings came to a boil on Thursday when Deadline first published who is playing me… The Incomparable BRITTANY SNOW!!!

Needless to say, when I met Britt at bartaco in ATL last month, I had so many emotions flooding through me and composure was hard to come by.   But as soon as we connected in person, all those apprehensive feelings drained away and were replaced with a powerful confidence that I am still beaming with.  She is iconic, talented, incredibly kind and obviously gorgeous beyond measure…. but she’s also committed to bringing this role to life with a passion that I wasn’t exactly expecting.

Brittany has been a working actor since her first role on SeaQuest (which David knew for some reason) and later gain notoriety for her 12 episode run on Guiding Light back in 1999/2000.  My cousin practically fell off his chair with excitement when he learned that the obstinate Zoe Plummer from The Pacifier signed on to the show.  I think my first introduction to Brittany’s career was her breakout performance in the (now kind of problematic) John Tucker Must Die where three ex-girlfriends of a serial cheater set up their former lover to fall for the new girl (Snow) so they can watch him get his heart broken… She’s thrilled audiences in pillars of American culture like Hairspray and shined in billion-dollar franchises like Pitch-Perfect.  She’s worked with the likes of Matthew Broderick in Finding Amanda and tackled huge societal issues surrounding mental illness with superstar Laura Dern in Call Me Crazy.  She’s also a best-selling author penning September Letters: Finding Strength and Connection in Sharing Our Stories with Jaspre Guest.

All of those credits are impressive, but I think my three favorite works from Brittany’s repertoire showcase her ability to bring authenticity and elevate female voices… lending her talents to delve into some of the biggest problems facing women in this country.

Someone Great, co-starring Gina Rodriguez, and DeWanda Wise is a romantic comedy about love, loss, growth and the everlasting bond of female friendship… there is too much to rave about so we’ll cover this in an upcoming episode, but needless to say its a MUST WATCH and one of my favorite films to date.

The Oscar nominated short, Red, White and Blue, shows off Brittany’s ability to dive into necessary topics like sexual assault of minors, economic disparity, women’s health and so much more.  While tragically sad, this film gives me so much hope for a future where cinema isn’t afraid to touch the issues that matter to women like me and so many others.

And interestingly David’s favorite of all the great works listed above, is Brittany’s directorial debut: Parachute on Peacock.  Snow co-wrote the script with Becca Gleason and and directed Parachute with care to guide audiences through heartfelt and compassionate storytelling about young love, healing, eating disorders, co-dependencies, substance abuse, recovery and so much more.  You can listen to Brittany talking to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy or watch her open up with the Hollywood Reporter from 2023.

What’s perhaps most fascinating to me, is that Brittany pursued this role because she listened to the podcast before this project was even announced… uhhhh what?  Yup. As much as I am a fan of Brittany, she’s been listening to us too… which is surreal and so incredibly flattering.  Her passion for championing mental health awareness and her open heart discussing her own

All this to say, that meeting Brittany and knowing she’s part of telling this story gives me the warmest vibes imaginable.  And there is so much more to share on the horizon… from the Actress playing Liz to a little cameo from yours-truly we have in the works… its all mind-bogglingly amazing.

We’re going to talk about all these casting updates on Cup of Justice this week, but you can hear some of our reactions on COJ #125 and our Pesky Picks Q&A that published yesterday.

AND All that aside, we had great news on Christa’s case in Houston with Lee Gilley finally being indicted for her murder.  Y’all won’t believe how awful that case is going to get, but we’re going to cover it every step of the way #ForChrista.

Plus, our investigation into Scott Spivey’s killing and a picture of Weldon Boyd is coming into focus…  Its all just getting underway with some wild behind the scenes developments. And we’ll also address news out of Tennessee on the Solomon case that came out late on Friday.

We’re headed back to the set in Atlanta at the end of April and filming continues through June so there will be so many more updates I cannot wait to share and amplify with our LUNASHARK Premium Community.

So STAY TUNED… we’re just getting started.

As always, your support is immensely appreciated and keeps us motivated to expose the truth wherever it leads, give voice to victims and get the story straight.

Stay Tuned, Stay Pesky and Stay In The Sunlight…
