And not just victims’ rights but how our Justice system treats victims across the board. Which is not good.
Over the past few years, we’ve heard story after story about how victims have been disregarded, not listened to and flat out ignored.
It’s disheartening and it needs to change.
Eric and Mandy were recently at the annual Victims Rally on the Statehouse steps. It was yet another reminder of how important it is that we all work together, make more noise about the things we see that are wrong and do everything we can to empower victims.
Without victim empowerment, the system doesn’t stand a chance at changing.
