On September 9, 2023, Scott Spivey spent the afternoon at Boardwalk Billy’s in North Myrtle Beach before paying his tab at 5:06 p.m. Nearby, Weldon Boyd and Bradley Williams were at a Tractor Supply purchasing some supplies for Bonnie Bay Blueberry Farm, which is Boyd’s 45-acre farm southwest of Loris, South Carolina.
Boyd and Williams checked out of Tractor Supply at 5:35. By 5:54, Boyd was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher to report that he was following an erratic driver.
Moments later, gunfire rang out on Camp Swamp Road.
