New Boyd Calls Paint A Dark Picture… Is Justice Peeking From Behind The Clouds?

We have SO much more to expose on that front, but as you’ve seen through the recent casting announcements we are sometimes not able to share news right away for one reason or another. And the reasons can vary from media embargo’s to protecting the integrity of investigation.

But as you heard in True Sunlight #97, corruption is like water to many citizens in South Carolina— they see it so often that they normalize it and don’t bother imagining a world without it.
This becomes more and more apparent with every case we’ve covered since Alex Murdaugh was convicted of double murder and financial fraud in 2023.
We are uncovering a tangled web of alleged corruption following the shooting of Scott Spivey in Horry County. Deputy Police Chief Brandon Strickland is perhaps not the only one with a suspiciously close relationship with homicide suspect, Weldon Boyd.
And what is up with Weldon Boyd saying SC Rep. William Bailey planned to give him a BRAVERY award after Scott Spivey shooting to celebrate… the second amendment?
We are left wondering… why?
Why would these public officials and agencies stick their necks out… merely because the shooters seemed like ‘Good Ole Boys’…. We are left infuriated and scratching our heads as sunlight rains down on Horry County. There is much more to come and thank you for supporting our mission to expose the truth wherever it leads.
Coincidentally, today marks the 1-year anniversary of Mica Francis’ death. May she always be remembered for her courage, her strength and her inspiration. Mica lit the way for all of this corruption to be exposed in the wake of her death and we will never forget that. Justice for Mica.
We’re back in ATL this week with the amazing crew working on the scripted Hulu series. All the news coming out has us ‘squeee-ing’ with excitement and there’s so much more to announce on the horizon.
We are skipping COJ this week as we focus on the Spivey case, the arraignment hearings for Angie Solomon in Tennessee and the arraignment of Lee Gilley in Texas. We might have something special in place of COJ on the Premium feed so stay tuned on that front. While live broadcasts are prohibited, we may have video of those hearings to share shortly after they conclude.
