Bowen Turner Back In Jail! And Mandy Has A Secret That She Can’t Wait To Share…

As you heard on @truesunlightpod Bowen Turner is BACK behind bars just months after his second prison release.
A HUGE shoutout to the concerned citizen we are calling ‘Hannah The Hero’ for being so pesky and BRAVE! She noticed Turner was violating his parole while golfing at a municipal golf course and TOOK ACTION!!!
Together with Karl Stoller and victims advocate Sarah A. Ford, Hannah provided information to law enforcement who acted quickly (once notified) to apprehend Bowen for violating the very clear (and in our opinion VERY EASY) terms of his parole.
The context of these violations was dramatically clear as we shared exclusive prison phone calls between Bowen Turner and his parents — leaving us all with a sad lesson in manipulation and enabling.
As we talk about in this week’s Girl Talk #21, True Sunlight #87 was loaded with emotion and y’all got to hear about how breaking news like Bowen’s failed drug test just days prior to being re-arrested can change our content reporting schedule on a dime.
But also WHAT?!? Yes, according to the Arrest Warrant signed on February 11th, Bowen Turner “…failed to follow the advice and instructions of his Intensive Supervision Officer in the following particulars; Failing to refrain from using controlled substances, except properly prescribed; having failed a drug screen administered on 2-6-2025, testing positive for THC; Falling to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages in excess, having purchased 8 Michelob Ultra on 2-11-2025 at Hillcrest Golf Club Orangeburg, SC and special conditions that outlined a zero tolerance for any violations of the Youthful Offender Conditional Release Certificate. The above constitutes a willful violation of conditions 5, 10 and special conditions of his Youthful Offender Conditional Release as granted on October 31, 2024”
Now, we’re not saying that drinking alcohol or testing positive for THC is wrong on their own… we are saying that this THRICE ACCUSED RAPIST and REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER is granted chance after chance and has shown repeatedly that he is incapable of following the rules, laws, and is a danger to women. We are still pursuing leads to find out WHY Bowen was not thrown back in the slammer after failing his drug test. And WHY it took actual receipts of Bowen’s alcohol consumption from a concerned citizen for law enforcement to act. But we will absolutely report on that WHY when we find out.
We’ll continue to shine sunlight on Bowen’s remaining time in prison, and we hope to have more news on his status in coming weeks.
But – we’re sending the warmest vibes to ‘Hannah The Hero’ and encourage everyone to look at her courageous actions if facing a similar set of circumstances.

Michael Fuller, Erin Lee Carr, Patricia Arquette, Jason Clarke and… wait for it… the AMAZINGLY Talented, Stunningly Beautiful, Wildly Brilliant Director, Writer, Author, and Actor who is slated to play yours truly…
I can’t announce who it is yet, but our phone call last week has me absolutely BEAMING with pride, validation, and excitement. She said that she was honored to play me, and I couldn’t stop gushing about how honored I was that she’s gracing our production with her abundance of emotional intelligence, skilled delivery and natural talent. Stay tuned for that HUGE announcement soon!
With filming to commence at the beginning of March, the team is working at a fever pitch to create the perfect ensemble of sets, talent, storyline, dialogue and one million other things that go into a production of this size. So far, we’ve had chats with the Showrunner, Writers, Directors, Costumer, Production Designer, and many more chats planned for the near future.
To facilitate those conversations, we’ll be close to the set in Atlanta, GA for a while and would like to see any premium members at an event percolating in the ATL this March. Stay tuned for details on how that shapes up.

On Cup of Justice #117 Liz, Eric and I reunited to chat about the latest filing from Alex Murdaugh’s twice-alleged co-conspirator Russell Laffitte as he seeks a jury pool that goes beyond the Lowcountry. Turns out the big doofus doesn’t like being called a “doofus” … or a “cockroach.” At least not by Liz and me.
Russell’s attorney Mark Moore finally got the opportunity to flex his petty muscle as he unloaded years of pent-up rage into what Eric says might be a $25,000 motion — once you account for all the time Team Doofus spent listening to Cup of Justice and True Sunlight podcast and scrolling through Mandy’s, Liz’s and Eric’s social media.
But the last laugh is — as always — on Team Doofus. There is no bigger compliment to pay than seeing your jokes about the Murdaugh villains appear in a federal court filing. Also on the show, the latest in JP Miller’s frivolous lawsuit scheme.
On True Sunlight #87, Liz and I — aka “bloggers,” “viral podcasters,” “spewers of bilious screed” and “self-proclaimed” journalists — had to tear up the script as our usual onslaught of breaking news hits on production day … but this time, we only have ourselves to blame.
On Tuesday, I received a tip that thrice-accused rapist Bowen Turner, of Orangeburg, South Carolina, had been at his county golf course that morning throwing back beers in direct violation of his latest parole conditions. With receipts in hand, I immediately went to the authorities and ole Bowen Turner was arrested that evening.
We talked about the behind the scenes of Bowen’s latest run-in with the law and what happens next, plus they share recordings of Bowen talking with his parents in the days before and after his latest parole hearing this past September. One thing we learned? Bowen’s dad had predicted Bowen’s golf club demise on Tuesday in jail calls that you must hear to believe.
Also on the show, we reported the latest in the Mica Francis case and JP Miller’s collection of frivolous lawsuits against peaceful protesters — including an email that JP sent to three of the defendants’ lawyer, offering his unsolicited ideas on how they can settle his cases against them.
