☀️ On April 4, Market Common Community Church purchased the property from Salem Woods Holdings for $2.6 million dollars, which means Salem Woods has made a sizable profit on the land. Solid Rock Ministries, which is owned by JP Miller, sold the property to Salem Woods Holdings for $2.15 million less than two months ago.

☀️ According to records, Market Common Community Church was registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State in 2019. An internet search for the name directs to coastallifecommunitychurch.org, though all of the branding on the website is for Market Common Community Church — which they abbreviate is MC3.

☀️ MC3’s current address is listed as 4514 Highway 17 Bypass S, which is on the other side of the bypass from JP’s current churchy business, Mercy Church Ministries. MC3 is pastored by Jordan Gandy.

☀️ I’m reminded that when Salem Woods bought the property in February, the. developer told the Post and Courier that “We bought it for a reason and that reason might change, ” he (Developer Gaither Thompson)said. “We didn’t buy it for us to open up a church. I can tell you that.”

❓…So what changed?

🔍 I don’t know, but you can be sure that I’m working hard to find out.
