NAMIWalks is a nationwide day of mental health awareness, fundraising, and community. NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) affiliates across all 50 states come together each year to walk side by side, raising critical funds and sending a clear message that mental health matters. Every step supports education, advocacy, and support programs that help individuals and families affected by mental illness find help and hope.
What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Today, NAMI is an alliance of more than 650 local affiliates and 49 state organizations working in communities across the country to raise awareness and provide support and education to those in need.
